Privacy Policy
What we collect, plainly put.
Short version: the contact form emails us and analytics counts visits. Nothing is sold, nothing is shared with advertisers, and you can have any of it deleted by asking.

Who we are
Grill & Chill builds enclosed outdoor kitchens in Clovis, California. The business is run by Brock Lopes and Jacob Brown. "We" and "us" below mean them.
This policy covers this website. It explains what the site collects when you browse it or send us the contact form, why we have it, who else touches it, and what you can ask us to do about it.
What we collect
- What you tell us
- The contact form asks for your name, email address, phone number, the configuration you are interested in, and whatever you choose to write in the message. Name and email are the only required fields.
- What is collected automatically
- Your IP address, your browser and device type, which pages you open, how long you stay on them, and the link or search that sent you. This comes from Google Analytics and from the ordinary request logs our host keeps.
The site has no way to take a payment, so it never sees card or bank details. It does not ask for a date of birth, a government identifier, a location more precise than the page you are on, or anything else California classes as sensitive personal information.
How we use it
- To answer you, and to work out which configuration actually suits your yard.
- To quote, schedule and deliver a pod, and to support it afterwards, if you go ahead.
- To see which pages people genuinely read, so the next version of the site is better.
- To keep the contact form clear of bots and spam.
We do not use any of it for advertising. There is no ad network, no remarketing pixel and no tracking beyond the analytics described here.
Who else sees it
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising — the two practices the California Consumer Privacy Act treats most seriously. We have never done either and the site is not built to.
Running the site does mean a short list of companies handles some of it on our behalf:
- Vercel
- Hosts the site. Its servers log incoming requests, including IP addresses, as every web server does.
- Google Analytics
- Measures traffic. It sets the cookies described below and processes the automatically collected information above.
- Cloudflare Turnstile
- Checks that a form submission comes from a person and not a script. It sees the request, not the contents of your message.
- Resend
- Delivers your submission to us as an email.
- CalTech Web
- Built and maintains the site, and operates the form service that routes submissions to us.
Submissions arrive as email at grillandchillliving@gmail.com, so Google carries and stores them the way it does the rest of our mail.
Beyond that we disclose personal information only where the law requires it, or where we need it to bring or defend a legal claim.
How long we keep it
A form submission reaches us as an email and lives in our inbox. The service that delivers it does not keep a copy in a database — it sends the email and is finished. We hold the email for as long as we may need it to answer you, and if you buy a pod, for as long as the order, the warranty and our tax records require.
Your IP address is used for a moment to rate-limit the form, which allows five submissions an hour from one address. It is not written to a database, though it does appear in our host's request logs for their normal retention period. Analytics data is kept for the retention period set on our Google Analytics property.
If you would rather we did not keep your enquiry, say so and we will delete it.
Your privacy rights
California residents have the right to know what personal information a business holds about them, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to opt out of its sale or sharing, and not to be treated worse for asking.
A business our size falls under the thresholds that make those rights legally enforceable against us. We will honour them anyway — the request costs us an email, and we would rather you did not have to check whether a law applies before asking a fair question.
Email grillandchillliving@gmail.com and tell us what you want done. We may need to ask you something only you would know, so that we do not hand your details to someone else or delete them on a stranger's say-so. Expect a reply within 45 days, and usually far sooner.
Some browsers send a Global Privacy Control signal. We read it as an opt-out of sale and sharing. Since we do neither, there is nothing for it to switch off.
Children
This site is for adults shopping for an outdoor kitchen. It is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 16. If you think a child has sent us something, email us and it goes.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS and the form is protected against automated abuse. No site can honestly promise perfect security, and we will not. What we can say is that this one stores nothing: your submission passes straight through to email, and the website itself keeps no record of you.
Links to other sites
Where we link out — to an appliance manufacturer, say, or to a finance provider — that company's own privacy policy governs whatever it collects once you are there. We have no control over it and cannot answer for it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how the site handles personal information, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves. Anything material will be stated plainly here rather than slipped in.
